Meet our executive team
Glenn
Glenn, our Group CEO, brings over 25 years of financial-services experience across corporate leadership, scale-ups, and start-ups. A globally connected FinTech and payments enthusiast, he shapes Qwist’s vision, drives strategy, and builds fast, grounded, high-performing teams.
Dutch by birth and a family man, he believes culture always outranks strategy. Known for his hands-on style and market insight, he turns strong ideas into products customers genuinely value.
Beyond work, he’s traveling with his family or cheering for Ajax, always curious and eager to explore new conversations, music, and food.
Matt
Managing Director
Matt, our Managing Director, oversees the big picture of our business, focusing on vision, mission, strategy, and goals. He also handles doughnut runs for the executive team during tight deadlines. With six tech exits, he’s fiercely competitive, valuing teamwork.
He’s passionate about technology-driven value and enjoys volleyball, skiing, cycling, and motorcycle racing.
Outside work, he savors ‘good food, friends, and wine’, inspiring his son’s band’s debut on Spotify.
Maximilian
CFO
Max, our CFO, oversees the finances and risk aspects of our business, focusing on Controlling and FP&A. With several years of experience leading and growing finance organizations in Software-as-a-Service and Payment Services, Max is happy to help shape the Open Finance space with Qwist.
Coming from Ratepay, Max is very familiar with FinTech and payment topics.
Outside work, he is passionate about football, likes to go out for a run or just spend time with his two little daughters.
Mathias
CLO
Mathias, our CLO & General Counsel, is an in-house lawyer at Qwist and is responsible for all legal and compliance matters within the company. After several years as a lawyer for Litigation & Investigation, he turned to the Berlin start-up scene in 2018 and held management positions in the Fintech and Software-as-a-Service sectors. As a result, in addition to his diverse legal expertise, he has particular experience in the build-up, growth and exit phase of start-ups.
Outside of work, Mathias is a family guy and a big football fan who loves spending time with his two sons and playing soccer.
Carina
CMO
Carina, our CMO, brings many years of marketing experience from various IT and technology companies to the table. She is the driving force behind our brand identity and the strategic positioning of Qwist. Carina is delighted to have the opportunity to play an active part in driving the company forward at such an exciting time.
When she’s not cruising around Munich on her e-scooter, she buys more books than she can actually read.
