How the Account Verification works
Easily cross-checking financial information
Qwist’s Acccount Verification is built upon the underlying framework of our Financial Data Service. Since it is a one-time use case and only the required end-user data is selectively extracted, it respects data minimization principles to verify the end-user’s account IBAN or name.
The Account Verification service enables you to easily cross-check the end-user name in your systems with the account holder name that they registered with their bank. This ensures that the person on your application has indeed entered the correct name. Additionally, you can also use the Account Verification service to check if the IBAN provided by the end-user is actually held in their name, preventing fraud.
The Account Verification product exposes four Tiers of Affinity, indicating how precisely the provided and fetched name match – these are: Very High, High, Medium, Low.
