Munich, 28 September 2017

Germany’s biggest automotive marketplace, mobile.de, and the Munich-based FinTech, ndigt (now Qwist), have agreed a strategic partnership to develop a loan platform for dealers and car buyers. The new offering has been integrated directly into the mobile.de web pages since the beginning of September and its functionality is continually being expanded. This move allows mobile.de to drastically increase its offering for car buyers and relies on ndgit’s (now Qwist) API-banking platform for technological implementation.

Using the ndgit (now Qwist) API-banking platform, mobile.de has been offering loans to car buyers since the beginning of September, without being a bank in its own right. In doing so mobile.de is able to access loan offers from automotive finance companies flexibly and independently, and integrate their systems into mobile.de’s own portal using APIs. mobile.de creates the front-end lending procedures, while the bank processes the products in the background.

“With the new platform for car loans, we can provide much greater comprehensive support for our customers when they are buying their car. ndgit (now Qwist) is our strategic partner in this. We are able to use their platform to help shape our banking processes and connect with product and innovation partners quickly and easily,” said Lars Giere, Head of Financing & Incubation.

The Munich-based FinTech, ndgit (now Qwist), is gaining another well-known client in mobile.de. The API-banking platform makes it easy for digital companies to develop their own financial processes and use APIs to connect them efficiently to the banks’ processing systems or to FinTech companies’ innovative functions.

“The ndgit Banking-Integrator is a product which builds on our API-banking platform. It offers digital providers and e-business companies the ability to design bank processes themselves, for example for loans, and to implement them with bank partners. Our platform offers the secure framework and technical infrastructure for this,” summarised Oliver Dlugosch, CEO of ndgit (now Qwist).

About ndgit GmbH (now Qwist)

ndgit (now Qwist) GmbH stands for Next Digital Banking and supplies the first API platform for banking and insurance. It connects banks and FinTech companies with digital ecosystems. Its technology enables banks to open themselves up to digital partners with Open Banking APIs and PSD2 solutions. In addition, innovative functions from FinTech companies can be easily used, adapted and integrated into applications via the marketplace. The platform makes it easier to use internal and external APIs, to monitor them centrally and to manage them. Using the Banking-Integrator, e-commerce and other digital companies can also implement banking processes and connect them to banks. In this way, the ndgit FinTech platform forms the technological backbone for new applications and IT landscapes in banking and insurance.
