2. Scope of this information
This accessibility information applies to the digital offerings of Qwist GmbH, in particular:
- the public website https://qwist.com (including subpages and downloads provided)
- Qwist “WidgetUI” (end-user interface embedded in customer experiences, e.g., for bank selection, registration, and strong customer authentication)
- Qwist “SwitchKitUI” (end-user interfaces for account/deposit change processes, which are usually accessed via a customer-specific link from our customers’ application)
3. Description of services and use
Qwist provides B2B2X open finance services that are integrated by banks/financial institutions and their partners into their web/app channels (e.g., account information and payment processes as well as account/deposit switching).
WidgetUI: End users select their bank, connect their account by entering their online banking credentials, and perform strong customer authentication (e.g., TAN); customers can then retrieve the requested results via APIs.
SwitchKitUI (Account/Portfolio SwitchKit): End users are redirected from our customers’ offerings to an interface configured for the respective customer and go through onboarding/data entry and the switching process (e.g., selection/connection of the old account, entry of personal data, dashboard for further control).
4. Status of compliance with requirements (conformity status)
Our digital offerings are currently partially compliant with the requirements of EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03), including WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We understand accessibility to be an ongoing process. We are continuously working to identify and reduce existing barriers. The date of the last content review of this statement is February 18, 2026. The statement will be updated at least annually.
5. Testing methodology
The evaluation is carried out through internal tests (including random manual tests and automated tests) in accordance with the requirements of EN 301 549/WCAG. In addition, feedback from users and customers is taken into account in the prioritization process.
6. Known barriers / non-accessible content
We are currently aware of the following barriers in particular. For each barrier, we indicate the reason why it still exists and when we aim to remedy it:
Contrast (qwist.com website)
- Deviation: Contrast ratios of individual texts/control elements are not consistently sufficient (WCAG 1.4.3/1.4.11).
- Reason: Currently being addressed as part of the ongoing redesign.
- Planned resolution: Q2 2026.
PDFs and downloads
- Deviation: Individual PDF documents provided may not be completely accessible (e.g., missing tags/structure, reading order).#
- Reason: Historical documents; will be fixed when new editions are published or upon request.
- Planned fix: Ongoing; new documents are created to be accessible.
Embedded routes (WidgetUI / SwitchKitUI) – customer integration
- Deviation: Barriers may arise due to customer embedding, styling/branding, or technical conditions (e.g., iFrame configuration, focus control, overlays). This area is partially outside our direct area of responsibility.
- Reason: Technical dependency on the customer’s integration environment. We provide integration guidelines for accessible embedding.
- Planned fix: Ongoing improvement of integration documentation; our own UI components are continuously optimized.
Complex forms and interactions
- Deviation: In individual cases, error messages, focus order, or labels/ARIA assignments can still be improved (WCAG 1.3.1, 2.4.3, 3.3.1).
- Reason: Ongoing development; prioritization based on user feedback and internal testing.
- Planned fix: Q3 2026.
